BNB launched a silver coin for the 110th anniversary of the Ilinden Uprising 29/07/2013 |
|
Its nominal value is 10 lv., it is made of silver, it weighs 23.33 grams, and its circulation is 3000 pieces.
The obverse of the coin depicts a stylized detail of the flag of Castoria cheta, representing two female figures drawn into the crown, weaving a common flag and a lion at their feet. It is written on the circumscription "Bulgarian National Bank", nominal value, year of issue "2013" and the emblem of the BNB with the year of 1879 written on the tape.
The reverse side has a bell, symbolizing the awakening of the news with a written on it year of 1903. It is written on the circumscription "110 years since Ilinden Uprising." Authors of the artistic project are Ivan Todorov, Todor Todorov and Georgi Todorov.
The coin is issued on 29 June 2013. It surprised coin collectors with its small mintage of 3,000 pieces. This automatically makes it the second rarest silver coin issued by the Republic of Bulgaria (the rarest coin is 2003 "60 years from the rescue of the Bulgarian Jews" with circulation of only 2,000 copies. We assume that this create some serious interest from coin collectors and the coin with quickly sell out. We recommend to everyone
