| 2010 "125 Years Bulgarian Unification" 925 Silver Coin • Historic Aniversaries |
|
We find the latest coin ‘125 years of Bulgarian unification’ quite original and remarkable. Its design is quite different than the one of most other recent Bulgarian coins. The design is simple, yet quite creative and aestetically pleasing. We congratulate the authors Simeon Krastev and Ivan Cholakov for their originality.
The coin surprised collectors with its gilded element as no gold plating had been announced before the coin issue. The mintage of the coin of 5,000 pieces makes owning this coin a very interesting proposition.
This is the lowest mintage Bulgarian gilded coin ever. A complete listing of ALL Bulgarian gold plated coins can be found HERE
Judging by the history of modern Bulgarian coins, Bulgarian silver coins with mintage of 5,000 or have MOSTLY quickly sold out and are currently harder to find. Since the year 2000 such sold out coins are:
Mintage of 4,000 (All sold out)
- The 2009 "130 Years Bulgarian National Bank", 10 Leva .999 Silver Coin
- The 2005 "20th Winter Olympic Games, Torino, Italy, 2006: Shorttrack", 10 Leva .925 Silver Coin
- The 2003 "60th Anniversary of the Rescue of Jewish People in Bulgaria", 10 Leva .925 Silver Coin
Mintage of 5,000 (Almost all sold out)
- 2008 "100 Years of Bulgaria’s Independence", 10 Leva .925 Silver Coin
- 2008 "Shooting sports", 10 Leva .925 Silver Coin
- 2004 "100 Years Ivan Vazov National Theatre Piedford", 10 Leva .999 Silver Coin
- 2004 "100 Years Ivan Vazov National Theatre", 10 Leva .999 Silver Coin
We believe that this coin will sell out quickly and will soon be harder to find. |
