Queues outside the BNB for the Preobrazhenski Monastery coin

Collectors queued outside the Bulgarian National Bank on 3 August 2026, the first day of sale of the silver coin dedicated to the Preobrazhenski (Transfiguration) Monastery.

The coin is the first of the Bulgarian Churches and Monasteries series in euro: 10 euro, Ag 999/1000, 23.33 g, proof quality, in a mintage of 5,000 pieces at €132. By 1 October 2026 it was no longer available at BNB counters.
