About circulation coins
The catalogue lists 176 circulation coins, 1881–2007, carried over from the original BulgarianCoins.com catalogue.
Bulgaria’s first coins — 2, 5 and 10 stotinki in bronze — were struck in 1881 in Birmingham; silver 1 and 2 leva followed in 1882 from St Petersburg. Since 1 January 2026 the euro has replaced the lev.
