How we calculate it
The score starts from the mintage on a logarithmic scale (500 coins or fewer = 10, ten million = 1). The reverse of the coin depicts a handshake, with the national flags of Bulgaria and the USSR above and the words ‘ДРУЖБА НАВЕКИ’ (Eternal Friendship) below. The design is framed by a wreath of laurel twigs and the year of minting ‘1981’ below, all surrounded by a dotted ring.
