The Nativity: a 100-leva gold coin for Christmas 2020
The Nativity: mintage 2,000, issue price 1,300 leva. On sale from 7 December 2020.
From 7 December 2020, the BNB’s cash desks sell a new coin: The Nativity.
The coin continues the 8.64 g gold issues of the Bulgarian Iconography series and was released in early December, just before Christmas. Its mintage is 2,000.
The coin has a face value of 100 levs and is struck in Au 999/1000, weighing 8.64 g with a diameter of 24 mm. Quality: proof, mint state; mintage: 2,000. It was minted by the Bulgarian Mint to a design by Plamen Chernev and Preslav Chernev.
The issue price is 1,300 leva. The coins are sold at the BNB cash desks in Sofia and at branches of DSK Bank, First Investment Bank, Raiffeisenbank (Bulgaria) and Texim Bank. For the first days of the sale each customer may buy up to two coins from the BNB; the limit then falls away.
