Who can sell
Any registered user with a confirmed email who has filled in a name, phone number and town and accepted these rules. Sellers checked by the team get a “Verified seller” mark.
What can be sold
Only Bulgarian coins that are in the BulgarianCoins catalogue (1881 to today). Each listing is for a specific catalogue coin. Ancient and medieval coins (cultural property under the Cultural Heritage Act), replicas, copies, and coins with artificial toning or cleaning that is not disclosed are not accepted.
Photos and description
At least two of your own photos – obverse and reverse – of the actual coin you are selling, not pictures from the BNB website or other listings. Describe the condition honestly: proof, BU, UNC, XF, VF… Certified coins are listed with the service (PCGS, NGC, ICG, ANACS), grade and certificate number. Say whether the BNB box and certificate are included.
Types of listing
Auction (1–14 days, optionally with a reserve), auction with Buy now, fixed price (optionally accepting offers) and market price – a percentage of the coin’s market median, with a floor price.
Bidding
Bidding is automatic: you enter a maximum and the system bids for you in the smallest step (€0.50 up to €20, €1 to €100, €5 to €500, €10 to €1,000, €25 to €5,000, then €50). A bid in the last 3 minutes extends the end by 3 minutes. Every bid is binding: the winner must pay and the seller must ship.
Payment and delivery
Buyer and seller arrange payment and delivery directly, using the methods listed: bank transfer, cash on delivery (Econt, Speedy, BOX NOW, Bulgarian Posts) or meeting in person. With cash on delivery the buyer may inspect before paying. Parcels are sent within 3 working days of payment, insured for their value.
Ratings and disputes
After each deal both sides rate each other from 1 to 5. If the coin does not match the description, the buyer may return it within 7 days in the same condition. Reports of fakes and abuse go through the “Report” button – listings are checked and removed if needed, and accounts are blocked.
Fees and the role of BulgarianCoins
During the beta the Exchange charges no fees. BulgarianCoins provides the platform but is not a party to the deals, does not hold the money or the coins and does not guarantee their authenticity. Sellers are responsible for any tax on their sales income.
